Band 6 – $89,233.03 to 98,505.95 per annum, pro rate (+10.5% super)

About the role:

As a HR Business Partner, you will deliver proactive generalist HR services that enhance the employee experience and identify and execute initiatives that improve engagement, talent management, and performance.

You will be a true strategic partner to your allocated directorate by working ‘in the business’ and understanding the organisation beyond the HR function. You will positively influence people management capability and organisational outcomes through the trusted relationships you build and the confidence you have in having important conversations.

You will partner with leaders and employees in a hands-on, generalist fashion to provide dedicated and tailored support, advice, and services on all HR related matters, including recruitment and onboarding of new employees, establishing development plans, employee engagement and retention initiatives, managing ER issues and grievances, policy development, training and education, metrics and reporting, policy development and HR systems.

About you:

• Experienced HR generalist, with a tertiary qualification in Human Resource Management
• Exceptional customer service skills developed as an internal HR consultant / business partner providing coaching, advice, and support
• Proven experience in building long and meaningful business partner relationships
• Excellent understanding of relevant employment legislation and ability to interpret and provide advice on Enterprise Agreements
• Flexible, adaptable, and resilient HR professional
• Exceptional communicator and influencer
• Ability to use judgement, initiative, and common sense to solve problems and find effective HR solutions
• Takes ownership and takes action
