We are seeking a range of professionals to join the City’s newly formed Enterprise Information Management (EIM) team within the City Digital and Data (CDD) Branch. The EIM team will be responsible for driving innovation by using modern data and information management practices and ensuring all City information and data are well governed.

The Information Operations Support position will be a part of the newly formed Information Operations team. This team is responsible for the delivery of centrally led records and information management activities which includes:

• Operational capture, management, and disposal activities within City systems of record via the business-embedded information service.
• Provide support, advice, and governance for information incoming to City via external sources (Australia Post, generic email accounts, web forms etc).
• Quality assurance of City records before disposal or destruction.
• File creation, management, governance, and information access (information search) requests.
• Specialist appraisal, sentencing and disposal services across all City records and systems.
• Systematically transferring records of permanent value to the Queensland State Archives (QSA).
• Delivery of Disposal of Original Source Records after Digitisation services.
• Implement governance strategies and processes as developed by the Information Governance & Strategy and Information Management teams.
• Providing the front face of EIM in liaising and supporting Council business areas in the use of all systems of record.

The Information Operations Support role will be responsible for:

• Assisting the Information Operations Team in all day-to-day activities.
• Assisting City business areas in capturing and processing information and records.
• Operational tracking and quality assurance of actions relating to incoming information.
• Applying quality assurance regimes over digitised hardcopy City records before destruction.
• Assisting City business areas with general operational records management activities e.g., file creation, archiving, access (information search request), and disposal.
• Assisting City business areas in the use of systems of record.
• Coordination of the day-to-day activities of the business-embedded EIM service.
• Participate in continuous improvement activities.
• Supporting the EIM team where required.
