Perfect role for an experienced accounts receivable officer looking to step into a collaborative team environment in this highly regarded metro Council.
A little bit about the role
Reporting to the Coordinator Financial Accounting the position works professionally with all employees across Council, liaising with relevant external stakeholders including the general public, government agencies, financial institutions and other local authorities.
The role is responsible for maintaining the General Debtors’ Masterfile and following Council’s policies and guidelines. It is responsible for raising invoices and monthly statements, debt collection of overdue debtor balances and administering the Council’s purchasing card system.
Customer service is a strong focus of the position, in managing customer enquiries and internally assisting staff and providing training.
A little bit about you
Your strong customer focus will be well regarded as you consult to understand our customers and deliver in accordance with their needs. You have well developed verbal communication skills, can communication procedural information and training to staff and account queries to external customers.
To perform in the role you possess a high level of computer literacy (Word and Excel). In addition, your high level of accuracy and attention to detail is important and well regarded. You work cooperatively as part of a team environment and commit to shared strategies, priorities and decisions.
