The role

The position of Management Accountant is a full-time position that sits within the Management Accounting Team under the Financial Services Business Unit in the Corporate Services department. The incumbent will actively strive to work collaboratively with all areas of the organisation to provide a customer focused finance service that delivers innovative solutions and improved practices. The Unit’s key role is to provide accurate financial information to internal business units and external agencies via several financial systems.

About you

This position requires a strategically minded, highly motivated professional that have tertiary qualifications in Accounting with related experience and specialist skills in coordinating financial deliverables in the following objectives:

• Financial reporting
• Analysis and interpretation of results
• Resolution of finance related queries
• Assist with the identification, and introduction, of improvements to finance related systems and processes
• Preparation of forecasts, budgets, and business cases
• Other finance related matters as they arise

Key Selection Criteria

• Degree or Diploma qualification in Accounting related discipline.
• Highly developed oral and written communication skills with the ability to listen to and understand the needs of multiple stakeholders.
• Demonstrated skills in assisting users in budget processes.
• Demonstrated skills in task management.
• Demonstrated experience in continuous improvement of financial and business systems, processes, procedures, reporting and the end user experience.
• Demonstrated understanding of Financial Accounting Systems, especially in utilising Finance Reporting for analysis purposes.
