The City of Albany’s Finance Team is looking for an experienced and qualified individual to take up the role of Accounting Officer.

Reporting to the Financial Accountant, this role will see you responsible for:

• providing assistance to the Financial Accountant, Manager Finance, Business Analyst/Management Accountant, and other officers as required;
• assisting with the coordination and management of the day to day operation of the finance function.

The successful candidate will need excellent computing skills (especially Microsoft Excel), the ability to work in multi-disciplinary teams and foster cooperative relationships with staff, a tertiary qualification and experience in accounting or a related field, the ability to work independently and a sound knowledge of accounting concepts and financial principles and practices.
