We have a fantastic opportunity for a Finance Analyst to join our City & Guilds finance team, supporting the Skills Credentialing business unit. You’ll undertake a variety of commercial finance activities, with a specific focus on owning and improving our revenue reporting and analysis.
This is a permanent, full time role, based out of our Wakefield hub, and currently with a large amount of home working. The majority of the finance and sales teams that you will support are also based at Wakefield, and there will be a small amount of travel to our London office, where other parts of the finance and commercial teams are based.
As well as a competitive salary, the role comes with a full study package.
This appointment will be made on merit.
We believe that diversity and inclusion strengthens and enriches us, and that it is the responsibility of everyone at the City & Guilds Group to drive this value. As ethnic minority groups and disabled people are currently under-represented within the Group, we particularly encourage and welcome applications from these communities.
The role, within our Skills Credentialing commercial finance team, is an important and exciting one, and your work will both enable and support senior members of this team, as well as support various stakeholders within sales, commercial and product teams directly. In addition, you will be expected to be a conduit for improved communication and collaboration with our finance shared service team, also based in Wakefield.
From owning and improving month end accounting and reporting processes, to delivering regular and ad hoc revenue analysis on both Excel and PowerBi, involvement in pricing and improving invoicing processes, the role is varied and enables a good grounding in all things commercial finance. Whilst the initial focus of the role is expected to be revenue and sales related, it is likely it will evolve to include some elements of cost accounting, reporting and analysis.
We are looking for a high calibre finance analyst, full of potential, who is likely to be in the earlier stages of their finance career and is at home analysing high volumes of data and confident working with a variety of stakeholders across the business. This person will be inquisitive by nature, a highly numerical problem solver, who identifies and delivers improvements in processes and reporting that deliver quicker, more accurate and insightful information that we can act upon.
This person will be developed on their finance pathway through a mixture of mentoring, camaraderie and experience, as well as the full study package, such that they can add value to our organisation and fulfil their potential as a high value add commercial finance professional.
