As the Finance Administrator, you will be working closely with our team, clients, and suppliers. You will be involved in all aspects of the finance and responsible for administrative and business management tasks. As a small business your role will have an impact through all the departments, and you will be central to our team.
We view our finance and business administrative department as forward thinking and use the figures/data produced to drive our business decisions.
The successful candidate will be encouraged to progress their career through learning our finance system, Microsoft Dynamics Business Central and other Microsoft Business Software. They will be encouraged to complete accountancy exams (AAT) to support them with their finance tasks.
Key tasks include:
You will have sole ownership of all the daily, weekly, and monthly finance tasks and will work closely with the Directors in producing and reviewing the month end accounts.
This role incorporates finance responsibilities as well as administration duties that support the business processes.
Finance Responsibilities Include:
· Create and send invoices
· Credit Control, chase late payments
· Process purchase invoices
· Create payment runs and upload to bank ready for payment
· Bank Reconciliation
· Maintain up to date price lists from suppliers
· Managing the Monthly Subscription Billing Process
· Daily check of the finance inbox
· Support in producing the month end Management Accounts
Administration Responsibilities Include:
· Ensure finance and operational reports are ready for weekly and monthly meetings
· Ensure timesheets are submitted and approved by project managers
· Working with Project Managers to create weekly project update reports on progress and budgets
· Onboard new clients and employees
· Book and support client and social events
· Manage employee and client surveys, training, benefits, and memberships
· Respond to queries from suppliers and clients
· Become a super user of our accounting software
Knowledge and Experience:
We are looking for an individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can demonstrate strong finance skills whilst building client relationships.
· Accounting qualification or working towards a qualification is desirable.
· Excellent IT skills, enthusiasm to learn and engage with new business applications
· Experience of working within a finance role or finance administration role is desirable.
· Be an excellent communicator, be able to communicate and engage with people at all levels of an organisation and build productive relationships.
· Manage your time effectively, know how to prioritise your workload and complete tasks within given deadlines.
· Excellent attention to detail skills.
· Able to use own initiative for issue resolution.
