Citizens Bank is seeking dynamic recent graduates to join the Global Markets – Foreign Exchange (FX) team. The Analyst I will provide meaningful support across the FX Sales team and will initially focus on developing a comprehensive understanding of Capital Markets and the macroeconomic impact of domestic and foreign policies and events on currency fluctuation. This position is an excellent opportunity to learn Global Markets and evolve into a full account coverage role.

Citizens Global Markets helps clients reduce the impact of interest rate and foreign exchange (FX) rate volatility on financial statements, forecasts, budgets, investments, dividends, inventory, and cash flows. We work with clients and prospects to identify exposures based on expertise and economic insights, design methodologies for quantifying the potential impact of risks on financial performance and determine overall risk. Based on this consultative assessment, we provide a best practices framework to develop risk management programs for mitigating currency risk.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Ownership of desk coverage and support for the FX Sales team.
• Create pitch books/presentations and other duties as assigned by Sales Marketers /Team Leader.
• Financial modeling, back testing, and quantitative analytics.
• Pricing and executing transactions and ensuring seamless transaction settlement.
• Demonstrates the ability to articulate market conditions to clients.
• Works in a highly collaborative, cross functional environment.
• Assist the Sales Marketers in managing client relationships, including product inquires, valuation and audit requests.
• Partner with internal supporting functions including Operations for onboarding clients and resolving all operational inquires.
• Independently ensures that all monitoring and tracking requirements are met and that all documentation is on file for new/existing clients and transactions.
• Additional competencies preferred and to be developed: financial analysis/modeling, risk evaluation, macro programing, option pricing, and other quantitative measures as required.
• Manage weekly distributions (including market updates and memos to Senior Management), deal tracking sheets/systems, Salesforce and pipeline activity, and project work as needed.

Qualifications

Required Skills/Qualifications:

• Must have permanent authorization to work for any employer in the US. Please note that U.S. Immigration sponsorship or work visa is not available for this position
• Prior Capital Markets or Foreign Exchange-related internship or work experience strongly preferred
• Experience with Bloomberg and multi-dealer FX platforms is a plus
• Demonstrates strong competency with Microsoft office applications and Excel modeling
• Demonstrates an ability to learn quickly, and actively pursues opportunities to develop skill sets and networks
• Displays excellent verbal and written communications and interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Independently follows up with clients to address any questions or to resolve issues on a timely basis
• Excellent attention to detail
• High degree of maturity and upmost integrity with a positive and hardworking attitude
• Passion regarding studying and analyzing the currency markets

Education, Certifications, and/or Other Professional Credentials:

• Bachelor’s degree required, all majors / concentrations considered, minimum GPA of 3.5 preferred
