Citi Hiring for Senior Technology Architect at Mississauga, ON Full Time

Job Purpose: The GCMS team is responsible for the design and build-out (and ongoing support) of global, multi-entity, multi-region cash management and forecasting application used to service our ICG business areas. System is built using oracle and java technologies, runs 24 x 6, processes millions of transactions monthly, services 200+ users and interacts with 50+ systems in batch and real-time. It provides a variety of utilities (online, workflow, electronic, reporting) to facilitate a scalable and controlled operational environment for our clients.

The incumbent will be responsible for hands-on build and development relating to the ongoing build-out of this franchise-critical platform.

Key Responsibilities:
Architect for Global Cash Management System- Technology.

Creating technology vision for product as we move to cloud native real-time platforms.

Collaborating with stakeholders to determine software requirements.

Evaluation and Recommendation for new technologies and updating versions of existing ones.

Creating &maintaining high-level product specifications, technical stack and design documents.

Design (and leverage where exists) reusable frameworks – Environment management and layout design.

Providing development team with architecture blueprints to follow.

Code key architecture software components and code proof of concept rapid solutions to validate theory.

Guiding and assisting the development team throughout the process building secure software.

Troubleshooting and resolving issues with coding or design.

Ensuring that team adheres to development schedules and deadlines.

Presenting regular progress reports and setting goals.

Testing the final product to ensure it is completely functional and meets requirement.

Updating software solutions as required.

Partnering with Operations, Finance, Risk, Engineering, QA, and other partners to deliver on common organizational goals. Engineering team developing the solutions is based in US, Canada and India, total team size of ~30.

Knowledge/Experience:
Working experience at least in Full Software Development Life Cycle(SDLC) project is required, experience working in an Agile environment

Solid programming, hands-on experience on UI Design and Implementation, Code Management

Extensive work experience (10+) in hands-on software development.

Hands on technological skills

Cloud native patterns – DevOps, Continuous Delivery, Microservices, Containers.

Realtime streaming applications using high performance messaging platform

Transaction Processing Database tech – ORaaS, MS SQL, MaaS

Language: Java; Scripting: Python.

OS: Linux

AI/ML Solutioning.

Multi experience User Interface (mobile, tablet, laptop) user interface / micro frontend.

Good understanding of a variety of programming tools and development platforms.

Excellent organizational and leadership abilities.

Highly analytical mind, with an ability to see both the big picture and the details.

Strong, influential communicator who is articulate and concise, demonstrated success interacting with senior management both in the business, corporate functions as well as the Operations, Business and Technology environments.

Strong risk management and control mindset.
