Reporting to the Head of Workforce Planning, we are looking for a seasoned strategic workforce planning professional to design, develop and implement Citi’s global approach to a skills-led strategic workforce planning process, including the strategy to ensure the organization has the right mix of talent and skills to meet business objectives.
The role provides an opportunity for transformational work by playing a thought leadership role to inspire and drive skills-led strategic workforce planning within Citi and creating and leading the deployment of this strategy. The role will focus on the development of the process for skills-led strategic workforce planning, including the building blocks for a comprehensive skills framework, governance of a skills taxonomy, skill assessment and segmentation. This role will be partnering with senior HR leaders to influence the adaptation of a skills-led strategic workforce planning process and coordinate with the broader efforts on skills for Citi including partnership with teams across Learning & Development (L&D), Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, Diversity and People Insights.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the build-out of a skills-led Strategic Workforce Planning capability focused on skills segmentation, SWP forecasting and buy, build, borrow plans to close gaps.
Establish framework to translate Citi’s business/function strategic objectives to future key skills required to drive success of the organization.

Partner in the identification and selection of the system that will be leveraged as a skills database to store and keep market relevant information on the skills taxonomies.
Develop the approach and lead efforts to apply skill requirements to critical roles and the governance process to ensure they are maintained.
Partner with HR Advisors, Learning & Development, Talent Acquisition and the business on an annual skills assessment framework and process to assess gaps and monitor progress made in closing skill gaps.
Partner with the People Insights team to establish mechanisms to monitor progress towards closing skill gaps leveraging data.
Lead the regulatory response specific to the annual skills process required for risk and control roles, including meeting all relevant deliverables and Internal Audit requirements.
Participate as part of the HR Skills Council as a subject matter expert for Workforce Planning and contribute to broader skills initiatives for Citi.
Knowledge/Experience:
10+ years relevant experience
Experience in Strategic Workforce Planning, Skills, Org Development preferred
Strong analytic ability.
Ability to drive execution with strong attention to details, while keeping focus on the big picture; able to connect the dots across multiple pieces of work.
Exceptional interpersonal and relationship management skills demonstrating cross-cultural understanding and knowledge across multiple geographic locations.
Demonstrated ability to coach and influence peer group in decision making and strategic processes, a change agent who can influence through fact, data and strong domain knowledge.
Ability to analyze data and prepare executive level reports and recommendation.
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think creatively.
Comfortable to work with ambiguity and managing high-paced environment with changing priorities
