The successful candidate will be responsible for shaping the new TA Executive Search & Intelligence and setting resourcing strategy to harmonize executive search capability and delivery on a global basis. The role is a combination of: senior business and functional stakeholder management; governance and people and financial management of a global team; leadership through change, building new teams and ongoing management and development of those teams and individuals.
As the Global Head of Executive Search & Intelligence , you will have the opportunity to do exciting and transformational work being responsible for leading a team of managers, search partners and talent intelligence analysts. This role is responsible for the design and implementation of a global executive search and intelligence function, servicing all businesses and geographies, being accountable for the quality, time & cost of executive search and intelligence activity. Drive measurable improvement in the VOC for executive search capabilities, ensuring, data, digital and diversity are at the heart of delivery. ‘Executive’ hires are defined as Director and Managing Director level roles across all lines of business at Citi.
Key responsibilities:
Design and implement a global executive search and intelligence practice with a focus on direct delivery utilizing best in class search and sourcing methods
Provide first-class executive search delivery, market intelligence and strategic advice to senior leadership
Promote and increase diverse hiring in all its forms. Embed inclusive hiring practices at the core of all executive hiring and research activity
Lead a team of managers in setting objectives to extract maximum value from the team. Promote a culture of development and encourage mobility across teams
Provide regular updates on performance and value of the function to senior leadership
Develop framework for capacity planning across the teams ensuring resources are aligned to future executive hiring needs
Manage budget of the function
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm’s reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.
Ensure information is appropriately cascaded and that the team engages with wider HR and business projects and initiatives fully understanding organization context and prorities
Develop a framework for consistent management of 3rd party executive search partners
Partner with senior leaders in HR to influence executive talent strategies e.g. reward, mobility, succession planning
Act as an escalation point for managers handling sensitive and confidential matters; resolving complex issues
Sponsor continuous improvement projects
Qualifications
Extensive experience in talent acquisition, specifically executive search
Significant leadership experience within talent acquisition
Proven and respected leader who raises the bar and motivates and empowers others to perform, demonstrating and championing the leadership principles.
Expert knowledge of executive search market practices and wider HR disciplines including executive compensation, employment legal, talent development
Politically savvy, able to navigate through complexity and an environment of conflicting priorities, at ease operating in a matrix environment and influencing executive management
Knowledge of financial services and the different business models
Credibility with executive candidates and leaders: possesses gravitas to lead conversations and influence outcomes
Able to build networks, internally with the business, and externally with the candidate market place
Expert in compensation structures and regulatory environment
Demonstrated ability to manage complex international hiring processes
Strong project management skills
Digitally aware, ensuring deployment of effective CRM systems to manage search activities
Risk aware, champion of compliance requirements and risk and control activities as they apply to execuitve search and intelligence activities.
