What You’ll Do

Cisco Networking & Compute is a Cisco organization that is passionate about building next-generation Compute Products with innovative system management applications (Cisco UCS, Cisco Intersight).

This is an excellent opportunity to join a business unit of Cisco, that is passionate about building next generation platform that has capabilities of sophisticated infrastructure and workload optimizations.

Who You Are

You are a Software Engineer that has a love for programming and are proficient in one or more languages : Python, Go, C++.

You enjoy finding solutions to scaling issues and have a passion for quality, doing right by the customer, the product and the company.

You have excellent social skill sand like to accomplish high priority tasks.

Basic Qualifications

• Go or C / C++
• Familiarity with OS internals, concepts of distributed data management, and design / implementation tradeoffs in building clustered, high-performance, fault-tolerant distributed systems software
• Familiarity with containers and services
• Understand scaling issues and come up with product (open source) solutions
• Understand multiple open-source distributed databases / queues / workflow systems and its tradeoffs
• Excellent social skills and an ability to take a hold of striving against high priority tasks
• A real passion for quality, for doing the right thing for the customers, the product, and for the company

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field required
• Demonstrable experience designing and developing software applications
• Python
• Good understanding of data structure and algorithms
