Job Title: Security Architect / Security Consultant for Software Development – Fully remote (UK wide)

Salary: Up to £68,000 per annum

I’m a cyber recruiter of 20 years looking for a special candidate for my client who are breaking new ground in the software development and security landscape. We’re seeking a talented individual to join our team as a Security Architect/Consultant to help ensure the highest standards of security in our innovative mobile and cloud applications.

The Role:

As a Security Architect/Consultant, you will play a critical role in advising our software development teams on integrating robust security practices into the software development lifecycle. You’ll collaborate with teams to make security-conscious decisions in software designs and architectures. Your excellent communication skills will be key in guiding teams sensitively and effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with software development teams to enhance security in the SDLC.
• Assist in architectural decisions and design for secure software.
• Educate teams on security principles, including OWASP Top 10 and threat modelling.
• Act as a bridge between development and security, facilitating effective communication.
• Drive the adoption of security best practices in mobile and cloud applications.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience in a software development lifecycle (SDLC) environment.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to deliver sensitive feedback.
• Background in mobile or cloud application development is a significant advantage.
• Interest in cybersecurity principles, OWASP Top 10, penetration testing, and threat modelling.
• A degree in computer sciences or software development is preferred but not essential.
