Who you are:
Working at CIRA as a Software Developer in Test, you are a developer at heart with a passion for quality. You’ve worked in depth with coding and developing automated test environments. You have a keen eye for details, and you take on a thorough process-oriented approach in testing within an Agile environment. Learning, collaboration, and problem solving motivate you to do your best work! Your passion for software quality assurance plus your proven experience to define, document, write and execute thorough test plans make you the ideal candidate.

What you will do:
Develop and execute automated tests using industry standard automation tools for new products and enhancements to existing products

Plan, document, deploy, and manage the testing effort of assigned features

Create and maintain test cases, in the context of appropriate types of testing (such as functional, performance, soak, etc.)

Collaborate with developers and other departments in product testing, such as functional, system, automated regression, failover, performance, and soak testing

Adhere to software development and quality assurance best practices

Communicate test progress, test results, and other relevant information to project stakeholders and management

Participate in the evaluation of new tools to help improve the testing process, and the continuous delivery process as a whole

Enhance automation pipeline by using tools to perform continuous integration

What you bring:
A minimum of 3 years’ test automation experience in a client-server software-testing environment on any platform

A minimum of 3 years’ experience with Java, Python, or other Object-oriented paradigms; additional experience in JavaScript, XML, will be an asset

A minimum of 3 years’ experience with RDBMS such as Oracle, Postgres, or MySQL

Experience in writing SWL queries

Proven experience defining, documenting, writing and executing organized, thorough test plans

Experience with test automation frameworks such as Selenium Webdriver

Experience with test automation for REST APIs

Basic understanding of working in a Linux environment

Experience with CI/CD platforms such as Jenkins or Teamcity

Experience working with DevOps tools such as Ansible or similar, is an asset

Experience with Git, JIRA, Confluence, and contributing in an Agile environment
