Senior Engineer – BGL

We are looking for an experienced Senior Engineer to join our team. In this role, your main responsibilities will include POS application development while operating in an Agile environment. An ideal applicant will have knowledge in Java, Spring Boot, Gradle while developing in a Point-of-Sale environment. Candidate should have a maniacal focus on delivering a first in class store experience for our customers and store associates. Applicant should be familiar with utilizing JIRA.

Primary Responsibilities:

Develop solution approaches based on business requirements

Design customized POS modules

Help us integrate into a new POS platform while maintaining existing integrations and ensuring security parameters/protocols are accounted for.

Able to mentor junior developers or lead small contractor teams to accomplish a complex business objective/problem.

Build Microservices architecture, design principles

Able to provide detailed analysis on complex problems with recommendations for solutioning

Core Competencies & Accomplishments:

· Java

· Spring Boot

· Gradle

· Familiarity with POS hardware / Software

· Familiarity with Aptos POS software

· Working knowledge of GK POS software

· Work experience in Agile Scrum methodologies

· Experience with JIRA or similar platform

Minimum Requirements:

· Graduation/ Post graduationdegree in Computer Science or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

· 7+ years’ experience in POS Development or Java Development

· Familiarity with mentoring junior developers or leading small teams

· GK or Aptos POS software knowledge

· Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.

· Ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language.

· Highly self-motivated and directed
