Chris O’Brien Lifehouse is a not-for-profit, independent comprehensive centre specialising in-state-of-the-art advanced treatment and research for public and private patients who are suffering from rare and complex cancer cases. Situated alongside Royal Prince Alfred Hospital and the University of Sydney in Camperdown, the hospital sees more than 40,000 people every year for screening, diagnosis or treatment, using the latest technology in a modern, purpose-built cancer hospital.
We have an exciting opportunity for a recent graduate to join the finance department as a Finance Management Traineeship. In this role you will be trained in all aspects of finance, billing and hospital operations. COBLH is an independent organisation and therefore the finance department is responsible for all aspects including statutory reporting and compliance.
We are looking for a technically strong candidate who is quite agile in their thinking style, which will enable you to be able to embrace change but also promote it. You will be aspirational in either currently enrolled or committed to undertaking the CPA program. The role will comprise aspects of both financial and management accounting.
It is essential that the applicant has completed a relevant university course either in accounting or business. It is also essential that you have excellent communication and MS office skills. An interest in the healthcare environment would be desirable.
