Choreography by Rae Hiring for Online Ballet Teacher (remote) Kids ages 4-12 Job at Remote Full Time

Remote studio is seeking a fun ballet dance educator with strong technique to join our online team. Ideal candidate will be someone who regularly practices ballet or has dance professionally. Should have a strong understanding of terminology and be able to move with the students. Instructors should have a space set up for teaching that allows for full view of the body (no headless instruction). Instructors should be physically healthy enough to demonstrate dance moves.

This position is as an independent contractor. This position is for 1-2 classes a week. Payment is made weekly.

Job Description:

• Instruct beginning/intermediate Ballet dance techniques to kids ages 4-12
• Create a positive and nurturing learning environment that inspires creativity and builds self confidence
• Instruct students in proper, safe, age and skill level appropriate dance techniques in an effective and encouraging manner
• Use age appropriate music and choreography
• Be able to teach remotely
• Create fun classroom experience that uses a mix of traditional classical music and pop instrumentals
• Be able to teach in a space that allows students to see your full body (not just your feet)

Skills & Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years teaching experience
• Ability to motivate and energize students of all ages and abilities
• Create a high energy and fun learning environment
• Comfortable working with young children
• Knowledge of Ballet vocabulary and technique
• Ability to work with a team and accept feedback
• Basic knowledge of anatomy in relation to safety
• Ability to teach other street dance styles is a plus (Jazz dance, Storytime, Creative Movement)
• Experience teaching remotely is preferred (live classes), but can assist someone who has only taught prerecorded classes or has limited remote teaching experience.
• Works well with a team
• Is open to receiving class feedback

Must have a strong internet connection as all classes are taught remotely.

Must have a laptop/ computer, camera, and mic (can be built into device, headset not required) to teach remotely. No Chromebooks.

This position is as an independent contractor. This position is for 1-2 classes a week. Payment is made weekly.

Pay: $25.00 per hour
