CHL Mortgages Hiring for Human Resources Advisor at Fleet Full Time

Working within a busy HR team supporting the delivery of an efficient and effective HR support and advisory service by leading, directing and overseeing the full employee life-cycle across all departments and three businesses. Providing a professional HR service with the highest possible standards of compliance, advice and support to the businesses.

Assist and support in the delivery and implementation of organisational changes and HR developments as required. Promote consistency and continuous improvement across the businesses in delivering HR services.

Creating the best possible employee experience, ensuring a smooth and seamless experience from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities

• Together with the other HR Advisors, manage the full employee life-cycle across all departments within CHL, including the seconded services from CHL to Landmark and CHL Mortgages for Intermediaries.
• Build strong and effective relationships through regular communication with employees and managers across the businesses.
• Respond in a professional and timely manner to all HR queries.
• Advise Managers throughout the businesses on best practice, employment law and HR people related policies, including managing ER casework in a professional and timely manner.
• Constantly seek ways to improve the HR processes and employee experience.
• Assist and support with people management, including advising on disciplinary and grievance issues, absence and performance.
• Provide support to the Talent Acquisition Partner and Hiring Managers in relation to recruitment activities as needed.
• Maintain, review and update the HR policies, procedures, manuals and training documentation in conjunction with the HR Director and in line with government legislation and best practice.
• Administration of the SM&CR requirements for new employees and in relation to annual assessments and ensure information is kept up to date in line with the business and FCA expectations and guidelines.
• Together with the other HR Advisors be responsible for the effective coordination of maternity, paternity, shared parental leave requests and flexible working requests
• In conjunction with the HR Director and together with the other HR Advisors lead and manage learning and development needs across the businesses ensuring that regulatory training is fulfilled, and records maintained as required.
• In conjunction with the HR Director and together with the other HR Advisors lead and manage welling initiatives across the business.
• Together with the other HR Advisors process monthly payroll, pension submissions and administer all changes in line with department processes, best practice and HMRC guidelines.
• Together with the other HR Advisors manage and administer benefits and support the HR Director to review and amend benefits terms and processing procedures as required.
• Together with the other HR Advisors complete required information for MI reports on a monthly basis.
• Provide assistance with Employee Engagement initiatives.
• Support with management of HR Inbox, responding the queries in a timely and professional manner.
• Ensure all HR administration is carried out to the highest standard, employee records are up to date and maintained and fully complaint with GDPR and regulatory requirements.

Skills Knowledge and Expertise

You will have CIPD level 5 or relevant working experience and CIPD membership, or eligibility for membership and up to date and comprehensive knowledge of UK employment law and best practice. Ability to build and maintain relationships with managers and staff to provide expert professional HR advice with experience in dealing with complex HR issues.
