Chinook Shores Lodge Hiring for Housekeeper at Ketchikan, Alaska Full Time

We are hiring housekeepers to work at our Alaska fishing lodge and ensure the cleanliness of our five beach houses, studio apartment, crew quarters and marine facilities. Housekeepers will come in contact with guests and will need to have positive guest interactions. Housekeepers are a valued part of our team and included in the tip pool!

General Responsibilities

• Acknowledges and meets guests in public spaces with a warm, friendly greeting.
• Performs quality cleaning to meet required standards within set time limits. A skilled worker should be able to multi-task to complete action items in order to speed the cleaning process. A good housekeeper can thoroughly clean one house in two hours.
• Use proper cleaning chemicals for designated surfaces in accordance with EPA regulation and lodge procedures.
• We clean 3-bedroom houses on days that guests depart our lodge. On those cleaning days you can expect the following tasks in each house:
  • Clean sweep house to remove unwanted food items and garbage
  • Make beds and clean sleeping areas (each house will have 2-7 beds)
  • Clean bathroom areas (each house has 1 full bath and 1 half bath)
  • Wash dishes and clean kitchen area (each house has one kitchen and BBQ)
  • Clean all living areas (sweep, vacuum, dust, mop)
  • Wash bed linens and towels in lodge laundry area
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of lodge laundry facility
  • Organizes and inventories cleaning supplies
• Pick up ground litter around the lodge or whatever is visible and transport it to the waste disposal area.
• Clean BBQs and sweep porches (daily).
• Clean retail store floors and bathrooms (daily).
• Clean fish processing room and dock (as requested by manager).
• Reports lost and found items to the manager.

This position reports to the Operations Manager. Chinook Shores Lodge has a work hard play hard culture with entry level pay starting at Alaska wages and free housing.
