What would it be like to work for an organization that believes you truly can change the world? To work with a team where the big ideas are embraced, explored and implemented rather than dismissed? To collaborate with a team that not only believes that changing the world is possible but that the work we do every day moves us closer to a new and better reality? To believe that we can create a community with the power to unlock opportunity for every child and family?
While that may sound like a fantasy, that’s the reality of working at CHI St. Joseph Children’s Health.
Dedicated to improving the health of children and families in the Lancaster Community, our organization takes a holistic, family and community-focused approach to strategically address and eliminate health challenges and barriers impacting children and their families and create opportunity. Bold ideas drive our healthy ministry forward as we seek to create both individual and systemic changes that will have lasting positive impacts on our children, their families and their communities.
From our innovative family-focused approach to behavioral health, to our ground-breaking children’s education programs and schools, the programs and services of CHI St. Joseph Children’s Health are transforming the Lancaster Community.
As CHI St. Joseph Children’s Health prepares to open our newest venture – a grades school and high school in the former Dominican Monastery in Lancaster, Pennsylvania – the organization is seeking qualified candidates to serve as our first Director of Curriculum / Pedagogical Chair.
Our approach to education is unique. We infuse our commitment to service to the community and the most vulnerable from our Catholic roots with a Waldorf-informed approach to offer children a relationship-based form of experiential learning that supports each individual child as a whole person while also nurturing their love and learning and fostering stronger and more resilient families. We believe this combination unlocks the potential of each child. Allowing them to blossom as part of a powerful, impactful and transformative school community.
The talented individual selected as our new Director of Curriculum (Pedagogical Chair) will help to craft our vision into a stellar curriculum and lead the faculty and staff in breathing life into the unique curriculum we envision filling the classrooms and hallways of our new school.
The Director of Curriculum (Pedagogical Chair) will work in collaboration with the Vice President of Education (Head of Schools) to develop our curriculum, design programs and learning opportunities, support and train teachers and faculty and guide our academic strategies, programs and opportunities to create lasting and meaningful relationships as well as a life-long love of learning.
