The senior leader of DEI will partner with our executive team to ensure DEI is at the forefront of our processes, practices, decisions and ultimately our ways of doing business. You will help us build forward looking strategies, programs, and services to amplify our unique people-centric culture and infuse belonging into everything we do. The role also serves as an internal consultant to executive leadership and their teams to ensure that the organization integrates DEI in line with our values and purpose.

Your role::

• Work with our executive team and key stakeholders to evolve and drive our DEI vision and strategy.
• Translates strategies into tactical execution plans that include clear and measurable goals.
• Develop and enhance our governance model with regular operating rhythms, clearly defined roles and responsibilities, goals, and KPIs.
• Act as subject matter authority, change agent, influencer, thought leader, enabler, and champion of our commitment to fostering a workplace culture and environment that is inclusive, diverse, and equitable.
• Lead and continuously develop a small team of DEI experts and ensure effective collaboration and partnerships across the organization.
• Collaborate with People & Culture leaders to bring a DEI lens into all functional areas and business processes. Assess the effectiveness of all DEI programs and initiatives. Drive accountability by measuring and analyzing results, highlighting areas of strength and improvement, and identifying action steps to remedy.
• Oversee the development of training programs to raise awareness of differences, mitigate bias, promote active allyship and support inclusive leadership skills.
• Support communication and awareness building on DEI topics. Partner with marketing to ensure we reinforce diversity and inclusion in our external facing employer branding content.
• Partner with our ER team to ensure compliance with state or country regulations on diversity and inclusion.
• Collaborate with corporate and sales division leaders to promote DEI initiatives to employees, leadership, suppliers, and community.
• Encourage lifelong learning, stay current on emerging issues and trends within DEI research and topics.
• Exemplify the CHG culture, core values and purpose, serve as a role model.
• Represent CHG at various forums, conferences and career events.
• Builds and maintains key relationships within the community to include managing external partnerships, memberships and networking opportunities within organizations that partner in our DEI journey.

Your qualifications::

• Experience and credibility as a leader in an environment where the ability to influence, work across a complex matrix, and build relationships is proven.
• Ability to think strategically and operationally, while maintaining a data-driven approach that drives to actionable outcomes.
• A track record of building effective business partnerships in a consultative model and influencing others.
• A highly effective communicator with the ability to clearly and concisely articulate ideas, concepts and proposals to engage teams, peers and senior leaders. Includes being effective in a variety of communication settings: one-on-one, small and large groups, and among diverse styles and job levels.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to translate metrics, research and trends into strategy and concrete improvement opportunities.
• Strong planning and prioritization skills demonstrated ability to align plans to organization and program goals.
• Strong interpersonal awareness and skills with an emphasis on empathy, supportiveness and an ability to have uncomfortable conversations, listen and act. Demonstrates the ability to relate openly and comfortable with diverse groups of people.
• Comfortable working with minimal direction and comfortable with ambiguity and experimentation.

• Minimum 10+ years professional experience; at least 5 years of relevant senior-level experience in DEI or Talent Management with a solid knowledge and working experience with cultural development, engagement strategies, change management, strategic planning, and leadership consulting.

Education

• Bachelor’s Required.
• Master’s Preferred.
• DEI Certification from an accredited program, CDE or CDP preferred.
