The Short-Term Demand Planner and Process Optimization Analyst is responsible for working closely with the commercial team, manufacturing, procurement, and supply chain to understand customer demand including any new opportunities, the manufacturing environment including constraints or open capacity, and the supply chain situation in order to facilitate the sales process.
Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:
Monitor daily sales s including forecast variation to look for areas of opportunity.
Collaborate with sales to understand customer demand, forecasts, and any upcoming product transitions.
Collaborate with the plant to provide updates on demand changes and share opportunities and updated with the sales team on a regular basis.
Manage blocked or over forecast reviews if needed.
Communicate short term demand with Sales Account Managers, Customer Service, Supply Chain, and Value Chain Optimization team members.
Participate in monthly S&OE meetings and lead presentations.
Work closely and collaborate with Value Chain Optimization (VCO) to understand component balance and supply chain.
Work closely with manufacturing to understand environment.
Work closely with commercial team to update plant and supply chain on market dynamics.
Help with inventory targets to minimize and reduce slow moving products.
Assist with forecast accuracy by analyzing trends and assisting sales by adjusting short and midterm forecasts.
Facilitate communication and liaison with supply chain and manufacturing during plant turnaround periods.
Lead and assist process improvements which may include special project assignments, Business Continuity Plan (BCP) optimization and Forecast Management support.
Skills: Verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, and interpersonal skills. Strong ability to work independently and take the initiative, able to be a risk taker when needed. Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, business acumen, supply chain, resource allocation, and production methods preferred. Strong ability to analyze business trends and take initiative to work with the team to understand and address.
Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree in business management, procurement, economics, finance, accounting or relevant field required. 8-10 years experience highly desirable.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree
Demonstrated experience in supply chain, procurement, business process optimization or related role.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in Forecasting, Demand Planning, Supply Chain, Process Optimization/Improvement or Procurement
Proficient in SAP, Microsoft SharePoint, and experience with data analytics/management
Proficiency in Office 365 (Teams, OneNote, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and adapt to changing needs and deadlines
Takes initiative and is a team player
Self-motivated, learns quickly, anticipates the needs of team members.
Strong collaboration and people skills with the ability to reach out to others as needed
Strong organization skills and attention to detail
Must be able to communicate in a clear, concise, and effective manner, orally, and in writing
Good interpersonal skills
