If successful you will assist the Catering Financial Controller and Management Accountant with daily accounting and the production of the management accounting pack for the catering division.

The successful Finance Assistant will be responsible for:

• Assisting the Catering Management Accountant with the preparation of the Catering division P&L account, Balance Sheet Reconciliations & KPIs analysis
• Process and record the weekly banking within the cash office
• Preparing floats ready for events and race days
• Assist the Catering Management Accountant in following event day stock control procedures
• Maintain and reconcile our PO & Invoicing system

The successful Finance Assistant will have the following skills / experience:

• Experience in completing bank reconciliations and maintaining a purchase ledger
• Good knowledge of management accounting and ledger principles, and accruals and prepayments
• Advanced Excel
• Extremely thorough and conscientious with excellent attention to detail

Qualifications:
Part qualified in CIMA, or currently studying / qualified in AAT Level 2 or 3

Hours of work:
Mon to Fri 09:00-17:00 (37.5 hours per week)

Some remote work is possible in this role, as well as some support on race days at Chester racecourse.
