We are seeking a Head of Service for Education and inclusion here in Cheshire West and Chester Council, reporting to the Director of Childrens services. The successful candidate will have extensive experience of working in the education system at a senior level and a passion for inclusion and a proven track record of leading successful teams to deliver change. You will be the face of education for our organisation and the borough and will need excellent communication skills engaging headteachers and school communities to create respectful and trusted relationships to ensure our track record of collaboration remains central to how we support children, young people, and families to achieve. You will need to be a strong team player who is committed to our one Childrens service approach working closely with colleagues across the wider Children’s Services. You must also have the appetite and ability to transform services in line with new legislation and the changing landscape of the school system. Empathy and sound system leadership skills will be the key to moving the service forward and building a strong team to deliver on these objectives.

The contractual work location for this role is listed above however you may be required to work from a range of work locations or sites within the Borough and may also be required to work from home, depending on the needs of the service.
