Sanitation Specialist

We are currently seeking a Sanitation Specialist in Pittsburgh to provide consultative services to Food Processing/Industrial Manufacturing facilities.

As a ChemStation Sanitation Specialist you will be responsible for developing and monitoring the quality processes regarding Sanitation of small to large Food Processing customers. You will ensure compliance with GFSI, local, state, and federal food safety guidelines, standards, and regulations for each customer’s specific needs.

Responsibilities:

• Assisting/Training on the customer site on Sanitation, SSOP’s, Chemical Safety and GHS standards
• Conduct Pre-Audit walk through at customers sites to ensure compliance of food safety and Sanitation Practices as established by GFSI.
• Ability to validate the Sanitation Programs and SSOPs
• Establish SSOPs and MCS as needed for current and new customers.
• Ability to Titrate and Calibrate Sanitation Equipment.
• Maintain Service s for all Activities conducted on Customer Site
• Participate as an essential member of Food Safety teams as requested.
• Proactively build a relationship with the customer with intention of building long-lasting business relationships

Requirements:

• Demonstrated history of knowledge in the Food Processing Arena (e.g. QA )
• Knowledge of HACCP, safe Chemical Use, GMPs and GFSI Scheme
• Above average critical thinking skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
• Proven ability to make sound decisions and recommendations in a customer environment
• The ability to work second/third shift.
