ABOUT THE ROLE

To deliver high quality, efficient and accurate financial, management and statutory reporting services. To provide these services in an accurate and timely manner with excellent customer service and compliance with policies and procedures, accounting standards and legislative requirements.

Employment Status: Full Time, Permanent

Award: Level 3 of the Queensland Local Government Industry (Stream A) Award – State 2017

Salary Range: $72,136.00 gross per annum.

ABOUT YOU

The successful candidate will have:

| Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities |

• Relevant experience in a financial services related role.
• A good understanding of financial and cost accounting ledgers and a financial environment based on accrual accounting.
• Proficient in computerised accounting modules, specifically banking, general ledger and job costing, with a demonstrated ability to perform financial and accounting activity within an integrated financial suite.
• Experience using integrated finance systems and/or application suites.
• Experience and ability to communicate, problem solve and contribute within a team effectively and present a customer focused approach.
• Well-developed administrative and organisational skills, with attention for detail and the ability to determine work priorities.
• Experience in processing and exercise initiative in the application of established work procedures.
• Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office suite of applications, specifically formatting and preparation of documents using both Excel and Word.
• Well-developed communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to exercise initiative, judgement, confidentiality, tact and discretion whilst dealing with a broad cross-section of external and internal people.

| Essential Education/Qualifications |

• Minimum education level of completion of Year 10 or equivalent.

| Essential Licences |

• Possession and maintenance of a Queensland ‘C’ Class Driver Licence
