Accounts Payable Specialist

Our company is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Morristown, TN. The Accounts Payable Specialist will be responsible for timely and accurately processing and making payments of all invoices, resolving discrepancies and maintaining vendor accounts to ensure accuracy. The successful candidate for this position must work with a sense of urgency and possess a positive attitude with the ability to adapt quickly. Organizational skills are a must.

Accounts Payable Specialist Duties and Responsibilities:

• Review all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment
• Match invoices to checks, obtain all signatures for checks and distribute checks accordingly
• 1099 maintenance
• Respond to all vendor and management inquiries
• Reconcile vendor statements, research and correct discrepancies
• Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately
• Coding invoices
• Ability to prepare and process checks for multiple companies
• Update and maintain vendor database
• Ability to process and enter 400+ invoices per week
• Audit and verify expenses reports
• Ability to process and follow-up on rush items

Qualifications:

· 4-6 years of Accounting and/or Accounts Payable experience.

· Experience with Great Plains/Microsoft Dynamics preferred.

· Experience with Microsoft Suite with emphasis on Excel.

· Ability to maintain accurate filing of invoices.

· Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer service focus.

· Exceptional organizational skills, detail-oriented mindset and a high sense of urgency.

· Ability to prioritize, work effectively and complete work in a timely matter.

· Ability to follow up on pending issues, with a sense of urgency and accountability.

· Extreme attention to detail.

· Quick and accurate data entry skills.

· Must be team oriented with a positive attitude.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 – $26.00 per hour
