Provide administrative support for the Student Support team and work on activities and events targeting improved student wellbeing and retention.
We are a new world university. Like our namesake, Charles Darwin, we think differently. We innovate, embrace change, challenge conventions and look for better ways. We’re not about tradition or legacy, privilege or exclusivity. We care about people as individuals, and about our wider society. We’re about what we can give to the world, rather than what we take. We cannot build a new world without diversity of thought, so we bring together people with unique perspectives in an inclusive and supporting learning environment to help them connect, discover and grow. This is the CDU difference.
As Student Support Project Officer, you will perform administrative duties for the general day-to-day operations of the Student Support team and collaborate on event management and project support for student-focused activities and events targeted at increasing levels of student wellbeing, leading to improved retention rates.
To succeed in this position, you will demonstrate an outstanding commitment to customer service, and the ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise initiative and sensitivity to successfully engage with students and academics across all levels of the University. Sound administrative and organisation skills and proficiency in a variety of systems and corporate databases and the MS Office package will also be fundamental to your success.
Prior experience within a complex organisation and/or the tertiary education sector and will be highly regarded and a strong track record in delivering against a schedule of deadlines and the capacity to skilfully manage multiple projects concurrently will strengthen your application.
