Lead a small team in the provision of business administration and financial services

About the Position
As Manager Accounting Services you will lead a small team in the provision of business administration and financial services such as accounts receivable management, revenue invoicing, financial acquittals and bank reconciliations. You’ll coordinate month end and year end financial close as well as financial reporting for management and statutory annual financial statements.

About You
To be successful, you will possess:

• A Postgraduate Qualification and extensive relevant experience or an equivalent combinations of relevant management experience and education/training in Finance/Accounting.
• Proven experience in a supervisory role with a proven ability to work as a team member, make decisions, set priorities and adapt to change. Demonstrated ability to undertake effective professional interactions through respectful, collaborative and supportive stakeholder and client engagements.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, self-motivated with strong performance in achieving quality outcomes. Ability to maintain accuracy and attention to detail in a high-volume environment with constantly changing priorities.
• Broad knowledge of financial systems, with a particular expertise in the implementation, control and operation of computerised General Ledger module and financials. Firm understanding of Organisational structures, Chart of Account hierarchy and their application within the computerised general ledger and intermediate expertise in the Microsoft Office Suite.
• Demonstrated ability to use initiative, creativity and innovation in data collection from computerised systems, including the ability to analyse and accurately report information.
• Demonstrated capacity to conceptualise, develop and review major management or administrative policies at a corporate level. Display a sound understanding of accrual accounting concepts in relation to data collection from subsidiary ledgers (purchasing, payables, receivables, salary system)

Remuneration
Appointment to this role will be at Professional Level 9 and the base salary will be in the range $112,754 to $119,084 per annum. The total remuneration package will be in the range of $131,922 to $139,328 per annum including 17% superannuation.
