About the Position
As a Management Accountant, you are responsible for providing high level financial advice and leadership to the Senior Management of the University Business Units, so that they may make informed decisions on projects and initiatives. Your advice and leadership will cover all financial aspects including management reporting of actuals v budgets, development of operational budgets, feasibility options on business models, product costing, systems development, input into monthly financial statements for business units and total University, and involvement in various projects from time to time.

About You
To be successful you will have:

• A postgraduate qualification in Finance/Accounting and extensive relevant experience (or an equivalent combination of experience and education/training)
• Progress towards a CPA / CA / IPA qualification
• Extensive experience in budget development, financial reporting and demonstrated ability to communicate financial information and engage with clients
• Excellent communication skills, strong interpersonal skills
• Self-motivation, initiative, creativity and innovation in work practices
• Understanding of management accounting and financial modelling, Australian Accounting Standards and the Australian taxation system. Extensive experience in the use of Oracle will be highly advantageous
