The People Team supports our three core business areas: Creative, Commercial and Operations. Each of these is supported by the Generalist team, made up of Senior People Partners and People Partners working in conjunction with the People Operations team, including People Assistants and specialists in Reward, Learning & Development, Talent Acquisition and Systems.
As a team, we help the business to improve and evolve and ensure that our people are supported, developed and engaged as they deliver on Channel 4’s remit.
JOB PURPOSE
To provide and help lead a highly professional, positive and effective generalist People service to the business whilst building close, trust-based relationships with line managers and senior leaders, and developing and coaching them across the full employment lifecycle.
This is a varied and busy role with significant exposure: as well as representing the People team and actively enhancing its brand within the business, the role supports the Senior People Partners works on a wide variety of strategic matters and projects (e.g. cultural projects, employee engagement and business transformation), as well as overseeing day to day matters to empower our people to access the policies and processes the they need to do their best work.
You will need to have significant experience of working in a varied generalist role with a particular depth of knowledge and credibility in employee relations, cultural leadership and employment law. You will need to enjoy collaborating with colleagues, building professional relationships at all levels and working to support the Channel as it evolves in line with its wider strategy and its remit.
This is a great role for a motivated, experienced, professional and proactive generalist People Advisor or Manager wishing to gain new strategic exposure and experience in a unique and complex organisation and to progress into a Senior People Partner over time.
