Chanman Poker Tables Inc. is hiring. We are looking to fill a position, 9am-5pm 5 days per week.

We are a Custom Poker Table manufacturing company based out of Coquitlam. We build and rent custom built poker tables to spec. We do the majority of the work in house, meaning we build everything from scratch start to finish. We are looking for someone who enjoys building and creating and wants to grow with our company. We also build movie set backgrounds to accompany the custom poker tables. This is very creative work, where you must troubleshoot custom designs to produce elaborate sets including many different types of manufacturing processes including CNC, 3D printing, vacuum forming, foam cutting and molding, and cabinetry work with plywood, MDF, OSB, acrylics and others. We also use many lighting elements in our studios which involve running LED lighting throughout.

We need a motivated, hard working and energetic individual to join our team. In this highly detailed environment, you will practice the highest level of safety and caution. To start, you will be doing general labor, all indoor work. Some of the work involves the following:

• Sanding: plywood and solid wood
• Cutting pieces of wood and plywood to size and width and to shape
• Assembling and dis-assembling poker tables
• Planing and jointing wood
• Designing wall panels & tables
• Applying primer, paint, vinyls and laminates
• Carving, using routers, jigsaws, hand planers, hand saws, etc.
• Cleanup
• Deliveries and pickups (if applicable)

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Able to follow directions
• Have a good attention to detail
• You must be punctual and reliable
• Learn from mistakes and grow from the experience
• Ability to lift heavy items occasionally
• Good at problem solving and critical thinking

No experience required We will provide all training. If you have previous experience, then the starting pay is negotiable. We also offer quarterly performance bonuses.

The right candidate would have the following, but not required:

• A valid Class 5 driver’s license
• Have a background knowledge of woodworking tools
• Have an appreciation for the game of poker and / or woodworking

Our shop is centrally located near the Hard Rock Casino in Coquitlam, near major routes, the #1 Freeway and public transit.

Hours: Mostly M-F 9-5 for 5 days per week.
Pay: $20/hr to start for the first 3 month probation period with regular pay raises and quarterly bonuses. Higher starting pay available depending on experience.
