Overview of Position
The Production Technical Engineer (TE) processes build orders for Change Healthcare Enterprise Imaging products within our regulated Medical Device manufacturing facility, while adhering to our Standard Operating Procedures. The Production TE will be assembling the latest hardware, installing & configuring software, performing quality checks, packing up and preparing for shipping physical servers, workstations & virtual server components of our product to hand over to our Implementation teams to deploy on customer site and implement.
What will be my duties and responsibilities in this job?
Build complex Change Healthcare products which includes server & workstation hardware assembly/staging, OS and third party software installations, Change Healthcare software installations, system configurations, quality tests, and documentation
Review and understand assigned build orders/contracts, communicating with Project Manager & Implementation TE project team members, conduct installation of third party SW integrations, configurations and tests according to build orders, Bill of Materials (BOMs), Commercial Component Evaluations (CCEs), Manufacturing Procedures (MPs), Installation Guides, and Quality Checks (QC)
File Non Conforming Material Records (NCMR) for software and virtual resource issues
Update information in our Material Resource Planning system and preparation of systems for shipping/file transfer
Attend Team Meetings and provide feedback, suggestions
Identify improper or inefficient production procedures and providing feedbacks or suggestions; file Team Foundation Server (TFS) and/or JIRA tickets to Systems Engineering for any discrepancies found in BOM, CCE, MP, QC
Complete assigned Product & Company training
Provide technical training and assistance to peer workers
Take other special Production assignments
What are the requirements needed for this position?
Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Information Technology or related educational background, or related experience
1+ year experience in IT industry
Extensive IT knowledge and Microsoft Windows Domain environment platform, Installing, Configuring, troubleshooting software packages
Troubleshooting TCP/IP configuration and networking
Strong problem-solving skills
Experience working with and troubleshooting a client/server system and environment
Knowledge of Hardware assembly, troubleshooting & repair/replacement
What other skills/experience would be helpful to have?
Experience working with Enterprise Imaging products
Experience building Enterprise Imaging products
Strong written and communication skills
Strong time management and organizational skills, ability to handle concurrent projects
Self-starter, able to work independently without supervision, the willingness of taking initiatives and responsibilities
Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator, Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer, NET+ and/or A+ Certification
