Building Testing Coordinator (BTC)
Building Test Coordinator oversees all aspects of the assessment at the building level and any other responsibilities as delegated by the District Test Coordinator. It is important to note that the duties of a Building Test Coordinator vary greatly based on the size of each site and district.
Education/Certification:
· Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
· Knowledge/Skills:
· Knowledge of the state testing program and accountability system
· Ability to use student test data systems
· Ability to use personal computer and software programs to collect, report, and present data and test related information
· Ability to develop and deliver training to adult learners
· Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
The responsibilities of a Building Test Coordinator could include the following:
· Scheduling the day of the test according to the state test calendar, and the district test schedule.
· Assigning testing rooms.
· Assigning test proctors, and ensuring that everything is prepared for the day of the exam.
· Analyzes data and works with the schools’ administration and faculty in understanding assessment data in order to generate effective responses to the school/students’ needs.
· Provide training to school staff in using formative assessments to enhance and engage student learning as well as facilitate the administration of state mandated assessments.
· Certify ethical testing practice within the school building.
· Print and distribute Test Tickets to Test Administrators.
· Disseminate any necessary materials for administration to Test Administrators (pencils, scratch paper, calculators, etc.).
· Oversee and/or provide training to Test Administrators.
· Schedule assessment sessions.
· Organize technology staff support and implement building-wide procedures for handling technological challenges.
· Read and become familiar with the Test Administration Directions (TAD).
· Disseminate Test Administration Directions (TAD) to Test Administrators.
· Collect all assessment and irregularity logs.
· Ensure at least one observation is completed during one content area assessment.
· Manage and store testing documentation and forms, as directed by the District Test Coordinator.
· Collaborate with staff to enter student accommodation information in the system.
· Set up a process for restroom trips to be adequately supervised by hall monitors or additional staff to ensure that students are not discussing the assessment.

Pay: $50,000.00 – $60,000.00 per year
