This position will be responsible for providing administrative and financial support to the Director of Finance. It will include responsibility for the day-to-day financial record keeping, month/quarterly/yearly reporting, agenda preparation for board/committee meetings and taking minutes, accounts receivable, and accounts payable. The role will require strong communication skills along with the ability to multi-task and work with other teams to provide accurate reporting to colleagues and committees.
General Responsibilities Include:
· Opening and forwarding mail to respective staff and updating receipt log
· Depositing checks via our on-site check scanner
· Processing check, card, online payments into Quickbooks
· Reconciling Quickbooks and our Donor Entry Database on a weekly/monthly basis
· Processing vendor invoices and cutting checks
· Working with the Director of Finance to update staff on financial position with budget and financial reporting
· Under Director of Finance supervision, entering journal entries for payroll, bank reconciliations, and other accounting related tasks
· Work with development staff to provide financial detail and support
· Attend finance committee meetings. Take minutes and draft meeting agendas
· Attend major organizational events and provide support as needed
· Ensure compliance with the law and company’s policies
· Assist in ad hoc projects and report preparation
· Work with Director of Finance to complete audit, 990 tax return, and various annual filings
QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS
To perform the job successfully, this individual must be able to demonstrate the following competencies to perform the essential functions of this position.
· Ability to work as a member of a fast-paced work environment.
· Strong knowledge of business (accounting degree and experience in not for profit preferred)
· Must be a team player
· Excellent oral and written communication skills
· Must be a self-starter and able to multitask
· Must be proficient in MS word, Excel, Power Point, QuickBooks and ready to learn new database and accounting applications
· High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations and financial documentation

Pay: $35,000.00 – $40,000.00 per year
