Senior Recruitment Manager
Multi-site Branded Business
Ideal home location between Northampton and Derby
2-3 days a week on site
Up to £60,000
Reporting to this Head of HR, you’ll have the backing of a line manager that understands what good recruitment should look like so won’t just hold you to account getting the required bums on seats, but will encourage you to look beyond and build an effective, engaging and sustainable recruitment solution. You’ll have two direct reports – one specialised in operational volume, the other in salaried roles from supervisory to leadership: both with their own teams supporting them.
The team is not a small one, and it’s a team that has been mostly formed over the last 12-18 months so there will be plenty of opportunity to coach team members and and refine the day-to-day operations – delivering a new suite of KPIs for the team, SLAs and building functional and usable dashboards/ reporting will be a key objective in your opening months. Alongside the optimisation of systems and processes, you’ll need to work with your reports to create compelling attraction campaigns and recruitment marketing strategies – for the ongoing needs of the existing business but also for new site openings expected in the next couple of years.
Thinking creatively will be key to success in this role – being a quick thinker to solve problems in a fast-paced environment will stand you in good stead but being a data and research driven individual will be essential for longer term success in the role, to both build internal credibility, but also to support your ongoing improvement initiatives within the Recruitment function.
What is our client looking for?
You’ll need to have experience in both volume and specialist/ management recruitment – a lean one way or the other is not essential but a sound understanding of the nuances and challenges of both will be needed to be effective in this role. You’ll have experience in FMCG, retail, manufacturing or logistics and will have solid team management experience. Experience of working in a seasonal environment or of new site start-ups would be a huge advantage in this role, as would a strong capability in building out new processes, particularly with systems and reporting. The role will cover 3 sites along the M1 corridor so the ability to travel to these sites is essential – there may also be infrequent travel the Head Office in London.
