Chambers Family Chiropractic Hiring for Chiropractic Office Receptionist/Assistant Full Time

Chiropractic Office Assistant Position Available: $18-20/hr DOE Start Pay PLUS Performance Bonuses, Benefits & Paid Vacation

We are a thriving chiropractic practice in the Columbia Gorge, located in Bingen, WA, just across the bridge from Hood River, OR. Our busy office is warm and friendly, and we are looking to fill 1-2 immediate PT position(s) (approx. 28 hrs/week) for front desk, back office and administrative duties. The staff person we are looking for is friendly, energetic, fun to work with, and has a positive attitude with mature communication skills, both verbal and written.

Duties will include:

• Greeting patients with warmth and a welcoming smile.
• Answering phones with positive energy and enthusiasm.
• Keeping the office beautiful, organized and clean.
• Supporting the doctor, managing office efficiency, flow, quality customer care.
• Billing and front desk collections.
• Scheduling and patient calls/emails.
• Refer lots of new patients into the office for care through your enthusiasm and conversations with established patients and walk-ins.
• Answer phones with energy and sparkle!
• Learn to schedule efficiently and manage patient flow to give all patients great service and a WOW experience!
• Patient recall to help keep patients on track for the care they need.
• Tracking patient visits, office statistics & goal setting for the office.
• Give simple financial presentations to patients and help them with financial arrangements for starting their care, taking payments and collecting money
• Light billing and tracking of balances, posting payments and producing statements when needed.
• Generate simple s and statistics.
• Routine calls to attorneys/insurance companies to check on case status, preparation of records.
• Writing letters, preparing packets, filing and general office support.
• Creating flyers and marketing materials.
• Making sure the kids and families that come in feel the warmth of our office and get that extra personal touch.

Job Requirements:

• A minimum of one year of college credits.
• Must be healthy, energetic and comfortable promoting a healthy lifestyle.
• Prior experience in the chiropractic/medical fields is a plus.
• Must be computer savvy, and be able to carry yourself well displaying polish, maturity and confidence.
• Be comfortable discussing finances with patients. Sales experience is a plus.
• Billing experience is a plus, but not required.
• Self-motivated and driven.
• Works very effectively without much supervision.
• Must be great with people and able to direct others with kindness & professionalism.
• Positive, can-do attitude, service mindset and up-beat energy is essential.
• Excellent typing & computer skills (working knowledge of Word, Excel & google docs)
• Internet/Social Media and Web-savvy is important.
• Creative problem-solving, excellent ability to multitask & great communication.
• Can receive feedback well and is a quick-study.
• Willingness to learn and be trained in chiropractic principles, front desk communication and procedures, currently including Covid Screening and following Covid protocols required by the state for staff and patients in the office.

The Hours for our two Staff Positions are:

Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday: 10:30 am – 6:30 pm & Friday: 10 am – 2 pm

Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday: 7:30 am – 1:30 pm & Friday: 7:30 -11:30 am

This is a job with room for growth!

There will be periods with extended hours (approx. 6-10 extra hours/week) to help with outreach & special events or participate in continuing education seminars on some evenings and weekends. Initial training for the position will be provided and may be more than 28 hours/week.

Excellent customer service is VERY IMPORANT to the delivery of care in our office and we strive to give every patient the “WOW” experience from the first phone call/email to patients who see us for years for ongoing maintenance care. Our ideal person really has to care about the quality of their work and enjoy being part of an excellent overall experience and service.

A shy person would not be happy in this position. You must like working in a small office and talking to a lot of people all day long, on the phone, online and in person!! Ideally, we would like someone who has corporate skills & is really looking to do something more personal, make a difference, and work as part of a small dedicated team!
