Our client, is a global high growth publicly traded software company based in Los Angeles, CA. The company provides enterprise software and cloud solutions for companies in all industries and includes Coca Cola, UnitedHealthcare and Zendesk on their client roster. The organization is considered a leader in its space and provides automation, monitoring and improved accuracy for finance and accounting professionals across the world and allows them to accelerate company growth and achieve goals.

As a result, they are looking for an experienced VP of Product & Technology Finance to join this high growth software company. This is a highly visible role and executive presence is required, as this person will interact with the C-level suite on a regular basis.

In addition to being a strategic thinker, this person will be responsible for high level decision making and providing strategy for long term growth, financial insight, and analytics. The right candidate will work seamlessly across business lines and be able to provide guidance for short and long-term financial goals, while also ensuring ROI through key financial analysis.

Additionally, this person will be responsible for driving product strategies and long-range planning, annual budget processes, key data analysis and reporting. This person must be able to thrive under pressure and enjoy a fast-paced work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for creating and leading strategic & financial planning processes that include: OPEX, planning, headcount, and R&D planning.
• Strategic thought leader that provides guidance to product & technology team leads to build financial goals, make financial recommendations, and manage progress for the team.
• Ability to provide a framework that will optimize resources for the company and provide ROI analysis, strategic investment recommendations and measure business performance with key KPI metrics.
• Serve as a trusted partner across business lines and work well with C level executives on consistent basis.
• Must be skilled at working with product team leaders and others to improve historical and forecasted metrics that track operational trends in the market.
• Very comfortable benchmarking, creating trends on expense and profitability for the organization and be able to provide action plans and strategic initiatives to find solutions to complex issues.
• Ability to lead, hire, motivate and develop talent within the organization.

Qualifications:

• 12-15 years of experience in Strategy, Finance and Accounting with preference given to candidates that also have experience in SaaS or software.
• BA/BS is required, and master’s degree or equivalent is preferred in Accounting, Finance and Strategy fields.
• Strong systems skills required. Excel, Tableau, Adaptive Planning and SQL preferred.
• Advanced interpersonal communication skills and proven ability to collaborate, influence and lead teams and management, and be customer serviced oriented.
• Must have extensive experience in SaaS metrics, unit economics, P&L components, and commercial functions.
• Ability to develop and lead various finance functions in a publicly traded company with revenues in the $500M to $1BN range or above.
• Management skills are required and must have a track record leading, managing, and developing team members to achieve aggressive goals for the company.
• Exceptional planning, organizational, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Experienced and comfortable working in fast-paced environments and have business acumen to take complex data and simply it for consumption across teams.
• Innovative thinker with intellectual curiosity and a can-do attitude, with an eye to developing and implementing new solutions and tools.
• Self-motivated, well-rounded, analytical self-starter with ability to work in a dynamic, collaborative, environment

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $265,000.00 – $285,000.00 per year
