About our Client:

Our client is a high growth, pre-IPO biotechnology company that is revolutionizing the way biotherapeutics are used to develop new treatments for cancer and other diseases. The organization has several drugs in clinical trials and continues to build an impressive pipeline of new drugs that provide hope to patients that have not been successful with traditional methods of treatment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the month end close process for the U.S. entity with the help of an existing accounting resource.
• Support the consolidation process from U.S. GAAP to IFRS conversion.
• Oversee the integrity and reconciliation processes for AP, AR, debt, fixed assets, and treasury by reviewing the work of the current accounting resources and helping to complete work where there is a need for support.
• Develop internal controls and verification steps to ensure the financial accuracy and integrity of the month end process.
• Create desk top level procedures and process narratives for current state processes with an eye towards opportunities for improvement.
• Manage the local audit process with outside CPA firm.
• Work with outside partners to provide tax reporting information.
• Partner with finance to help with an ERP Implementation.
• Analyze and report on the company’s cash position.
• Support the SEC and financial reporting process by providing schedules and relevant information related to the U.S. entity.
• Other projects assigned by CFO.

Qualifications:

• Must have 5+ years of accounting experience.
• BA/BS degree required in accounting, finance, business or economics.
• Experience working in public accounting and a CPA is preferred.
• Experience working for a publicly traded company is preferred.
• Biotechnology experience is a preference, but not a requirement.
• Highly organized with keen attention to detail and dedication to quality.
• Must be comfortable working in the fluid structure of a development-stage biotech and able to work flex hours to meet ambitious deadlines.
• Demonstrated ability to successfully execute responsibilities in a fast-paced environment, collaborating across corporate functions and multiple stakeholders, Exceptional prioritization skills.
• Strong drive to build relationships, understand the business, and drive initiatives into the organization.
• Be able to meet the rigorous deadlines of a public company, multitask, and prioritize responsibilities.
• Strong presentation and cross-functional partnering skills.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word are required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $150,000.00 – $200,000.00 per year
