About Our Client:

Our client, a fast growing publicly traded, beauty and consumer products company, based in California, is in need of an Interim Accounts Payable Manager. This person that will be charged with leading a small Accounts Payable team and provide continuous process improvement of the AP function, be included in key system implementations and create standards for the expense management function within the organization.

Our client is open to an interim to hire transition for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Working with AP team located overseas and have the ability to audit processed invoices and effectively manage a team remotely.
• Comfortable establishing relationships and working with various outside vendors such as service providers and internal partners that need payment issues resolved in timely manner.
• Ability to manage monthly close process and review financial statements in addition to running manual and automated ACH and wire payments.
• Verify that all GL accounts and reconciled issues are resolved quickly and Accounts Payable accounts are reconciled correctly and on time.
• Systems experience and be able to manage Coupa and SAP, onboard vendors into the system and resolve invoice issues, flagged withn the system.
• Familiarity maintaining vendor files and coordinating annual IRS filings for vendor MISC reporting.
• Engage with key stakeholders and other internal customers to resolve any AP issues and provide specific reporting to auditors and management.
• Make process improvements to AP policies, procedures and systems within the department and maintain current systems.

Role Requirements:

• 5+ years of relevant experience in accounting with a preference given to those with retail experience.
• BA/BS degree in Accounting, Finance or Business is required.
• Knowledge of Sales of Use Tax experience is required.
• Advanced Excel skills are required, and Systems experience in SAP, Coupa P2P is preferred.
• Ability to lead, manage and develop a small team is required.
• Must be a self-starter and can easily pivot from an independent contributor to collaboration with various teams.
• Excellent communication skills, ability to deliver results on aggressive timelines.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $45.00 – $50.00 per hour
