INTERIM ACCOUNTING MANAGER

ABOUT OUR CLIENT:

This organization is a small-cap B2B commercial bank with approximately $2B in AUM.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Direct and lead the vision of the project; an 8 month software implementation of nCino, cloud based loan origination software.
• Formalize and develop a project charter, project plan, communication matrix, stakeholder matrix, and resource schedule.
• Manage all phases of the software development lifecycle.
• Manage the release of deliverables from inception through operationalization and post go live hyper-care.
• Maintain and demonstrate a solid understanding of functional and technical deliverables with the ability to communicate their relationships and dependencies.
• Exhibit subject matter expertise, influence, and leadership to drive implementation milestones, and resolve potential issues as they emerge.
• Develop short term work break down structure that aligns with 3rd party vendor’s timeline.
• Determine and establish appropriate communication templates and cadences for pilot/project team, the executive sponsor, and steering committee.
• Facilitate all project meetings efficiently applying agile techniques where appropriate.
• Work with the executive sponsor and steering committee to apply change management techniques to effectively influence adoption among the user base.
• Set expectations with the pilot team around meeting cadences and ongoing participation.
• Ready and document emerging opportunities, issues, risks, continuous process improvements and learnings.
• Determine appropriate storage of all project related documentation and templates.
• Proactively identify potential risks and strategies to mitigate them prior to occurrence.
• Build credible relationships with all stakeholders by establishing yourself as the project leader, while also adapting your communication style to maximize cooperation from each stakeholder.
• Attend regular calls with 3rd party vendors to clarify progress and reinforce agreed upon accountability in vendor agreements.
• Establish yourself as a champion of the bank, quickly building an understanding of our client’s business processes and representing their interests in all conversations with 3rd party vendors.
• Exhibit exceptional temperament while under stress, dealing with issues and working towards resolution.
• Manage other ongoing technology projects our client could use support.

REQUIREMENTS:

• 10+ years of technology project management experience in a banking environment.
• Utilizes their own project management templates that have proven effective in prior projects.
• Experience implementing loan origination software.
• Experience in working with FIS and managing Fiserv releases.
• Experience and understanding of AML and BSA.
• Prior experience adapting to agile and waterfall methodologies that best suit the nature of the implementation.
• Salesforce and nCino experience preferred, not required.
• Regulatory, operational, and SOX controls experience preferred, not required.
• Exceptional communicator with ability to present concepts, recommendations, and analyses to senior management in a clear, concise, and actionable manner.
• Leadership skills, demonstrated ability to exhibit influence and use persuasive reasoning to change opinions.
• Excellent temperament and ability to manage through stressful situations effectively while exhibiting a collected and calm demeanor.
• High level of integrity and professionalism.
• Superior problem solving and project management skills, with the ability to proactively manage numerous projects with competing timelines.
• Highest standards of accuracy and precision; highly organized.
• Can show proof of vaccination and able to work daily onsite in San Jose office.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $60.00 – $90.00 per hour
