About our Client:

Our client is a rapidly growing pre-IPO fintech start-up located in the Bay Area. The company is innovating in the retail investment sector.

We are looking for a Senior Manager of Fund Accounting to help our client scale investor related reporting, processes, and compliance for their various investor programs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create and review annual fund financial statements in accordance with US GAAP.
• Create a new process for investor reporting and compliance.
• Oversee corporate compliance and reporting for all fund entities, which includes quarterly REIT reporting.
• Oversee and manage annual tax reporting requirements and the fund’s annual audit process.
• Effectively work with external auditors and preparers.
• Review and approve trial balances, investor allocations and capital account statements on a monthly basis, and ensure quarterly reporting requirements are met.
• Experience creating, reviewing, and approving quarterly management fee and other fee calculations for the company.

Qualifications:

• 7 to 10 years of accounting experience with a minimum of 2 years in fund accounting.
• BA/BS degree required with experience in Accounting or Finance. MBA and/or CPA is preferred.
• Public accounting experience preferred.
• Superior systems skills with the ability to work with large sets of data.
• NetSuite and Yardi experience preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and proven ability to collaborate, influence and be a team player to get the work done.
• Must be a self-starter and very comfortable multi-tasking and prioritizing key work assignments to meet aggressive deadlines.
• Comfortable working in fast-paced environments.
• Ability to learn new products and processes quickly.
• Innovative thinker with intellectual curiosity and a can-do attitude, with an eye to developing and implementing new solutions and tools.
• Self-motivated, well-rounded, analytical self-starter with ability to work in a dynamic, collaborative, environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $175,000.00 – $220,000.00 per year
