C. Fisher Municipal Accounting (CFMA), LLC is a local accounting services company founded by Christina Fisher, CPA. CFMA is dedicated to providing professional quality-driven financial deliverables to local municipalities and nonprofit organizations. With a holistic approach to financial management, CFMA will engage with the appropriate personnel and officials to develop a tailored resolution to any expressed need.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Under the direction of the Owner, the Accounting Manager is to provide various financial services to CFMA, LLC clients, inclusive of general ledger management, cash flow management, financial analysis, budgeting and reporting, audit preparation and other duties as assigned.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
-Prepare monthly bank reconciliations
-Monthly review of trial balance, and make adjustments as necessary
-Preparation of financial reports such as quarterly budget reports
-Process payroll and prepare payroll journal entries
-Assist with audit preparation inclusive of schedules
-Assist Owner with other reports and analysis as needed
-Monitor departmental expenditures to ensure compliance with the annual budget
-Accounts payable processing
–Provide oversight and direction to departmental staff
–Attend meetings
-Other duties as assigned
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
-Experience or knowledge of fund based accounting (nonprofit or governmental)
– Be able to identify workplace deficiencies and recommend corrective policies and procedures
– Be able to follow instructions. Proper organizational and time management skills.
– Have hands on experience in financial controlling and budgeting.
– Be reliable, honest, trustworthy and unbiased.
– Have extensive knowledge of municipal and State laws and applicable procedures pertaining to the governing body.
– Be well-versed with latest office equipment and procedures; Be proficient in handling computers.
– Should be able to work independently and effectively without the instructions of any superior.
-Be able to process and analyze large volumes of data effectively and efficiently
-Be able to multitask and perform tasks within stated deadlines
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in the field of Accounting, Finance or related field and at least three (3) years’ experience in financial role. At least (1) year leadership experience.
LOCATION:
Candidate should be willing to travel to CFMA, LLC client located in Country Club Hills, IL, as well as be able to perform some functions remotely.
