Instructional Designer, Enterprise Advisor Training

Job Summary:

The Instructional Designer will create or facilitate the creation of online learning modules, live and recorded web-based training sessions, instructor-led training guides, and supporting materials, following an instructional design process. This position will use strong interpersonal, written and visual communication skills to bring together text, images, video and audio to educate our advisors and their staff, using adult learning techniques and all available training technology solutions for maximum efficiency and impact. The Instructional Designer will work with the Training Analyst to develop design and process standards for the Enterprise Advisor Training team.

Responsibilities:

• Create engaging learning activities and compelling course content that enhances retention and transfer
• Work with subject matter experts and on technology projects to identify target audience’s training needs
• State instructional end goals and create content that matches them
• Visualize instructional graphics, the user interface and the finished product
• Conduct instructional research and analysis on learners and contexts
• Apply tested instructional design theories, practice and methods
• Provide exercises and activities that enhance the learning process
• Create supporting material/media (audio, video, simulations, role plays, games, etc.)
• Build content to achieve project- or executive-defined goals (adoption, decreased support calls, etc.)
• Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and changes in corporate curriculum development and implementation

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Technology, Education, Graphic Design, Interactive Arts or related area
• Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to independently manage multiple projects in a fast paced, dynamic environment
• Recent experience in developing job aids, facilitation guides, web based materials and/or other training materials
• Strong partnering skills to work effectively with peers, SMEs, and other business partners
