Junior Software Engineer

Cepeda Systems and Software Analysis, a rapidly growing small company in Huntsville, AL, is currently seeking a Junior Software Engineer to support our Gov’t customer on a major DoD program.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Provides system/software engineering and technology support
• Ensures all assigned technical activities are executed and documented
• Supports requirements development, design, traceability, interoperability, continuous integration, and system testing of software-intensive systems
• Supports automated software test and pipeline development activities
• Identifies and s risks associated with program/software interfaces, development, and integration/test activities
• s technical status and progress to the technical and programmatic staff

Requirements and Qualifications:

• US Citizenship required
• BS in an Engineering discipline, Computer Science, or related field is required

• Active secret security clearance, or ability to obtain and maintain

• 2+ years of related experience
• Strong background in C/C++
• Background in Java

• Knowledge of the complete Software/Systems Development process and lifecycle
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Experience and Knowledge:

• Background in Ada
• Experience developing and maintaining System/Software Engineering artifacts
• Experience in software analysis tools such as Understand, CodeSonar, CodeDx, and CodePeer
• Knowledge of requirements management tools (e.g. DOORS)
• Analysis of software source code and binary executable files is a plus
