Utilizes scheduling and registration information to verify coverage for all ordered procedures and office visits. After
verification of benefits, this position obtains the required authorizations/Pre-Certifications through the patient’s insurance
carrier or third-party vendor for the carrier. Authorizations/Pre-Certifications are documented appropriately in the hospital
systems. This position acts as a liaison between, patients, physicians, Radiation Oncology Admin, centralized billing office,
insurance carrier and other community agencies.

What You Bring/Job Requirements:
In addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following:
Education Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
Experience Requirements
- Two years experience in outpatient clinic, physician office or other health care setting.
- Experience with medical billing and coding preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and medical insurance payers.
Physical Requirements
- Sedentary work -(prolonged periods of sitting and exert up to 10lbs force occasionally)
