Job Description:

Centrotherm Eco Systems is looking for a dynamic individual to fill a product design engineering position. The individual will join our engineering department reporting to our Engineering Manager. The ideal candidate is responsible for the design of new products to enhance our InnoFlue line of polypropylene flue gas vent systems and Air Excellent line of air distribution systems.

Job duties:

· Assists in the development of innovative new products that create value for our customers utilizing target cost methodology

• Design with intelligent simplicity in mind
• Incorporate production methods/limitations in design
• Assist in material sourcing
• Creation of part drawings & BOM utilizing Creo

· Creation and execution of design verification plans

· Problem solve using engineering analysis, critical thinking, and creativity

· Execution of design failure mode and effects analysis

· Effectively communicate with our customer base, from OEM’s to homeowners

• Listening & understanding customer needs
• Communicate customer requirements to other team members

· Assist the manufacturing team on the production of “first articles”

· Performs other duties, projects, and assignments as needed.

Experience and Required Skill:

· A bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or other equivalent discipline from an accredited university

· Zero to three years of work related experience

· Proficiency in 3D computer aided design software. Experience with Creo is preferred.

· Familiarity with lab testing equipment and procedures

· Exposure to UL-1738, ULC-S636, ANSI Z21 and NFPA 54

· Mastery of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, & Word

· Ability to multi-task and prioritize high value projects

· Customer Focus – achieving Company, department, and personal goals through a strong customer focus.

· Must have attention to detail for continuous mental and visual attention.

· Must be a good communicator and motivator. Must be able to follow verbal and written communications/directions.

· Ability and willingness to travel up to 10% to customer locations
