Centro Corazon de Maria Hiring for Education Coordinator at Hampton Bays, NY Full Time

CENTRO CORAZÓN DE MARÍA, located in Hampton Bays, NY, has been serving the Latino immigrant community since 2002. We are looking for a full-time EDUCATION COORDINATOR to oversee a variety of skills programs for immigrants, with particular emphasis on the development of women and preschool children. QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in education or related field is required
• Bilingual, English/Spanish is a must
• Minimum five years of experience in an educational setting
• Minimum one year of experience supervising others
• Familiarity with immigrant issues
• Understanding of and comfort level with preschool age children
• Ability to work as part of a team and collaborate with other
• Good organizational skills and ability to multi-task/prioritize

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop skills classes based on the changing needs of the immigrant community
• Build relationships with other professionals in various fields who have expertise in areas directly affecting immigrants, such as health care, financial literacy and worker’s rights
• Supervise non-professional part/time childcare workers
• Liaise with community agencies collaborating with Centro Corazon
• Track expenditures and evaluate grant-funded programs
• Assist with special events as needed
• Perform other duties as needed

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 – $55,000.00 per year
