We are looking for Director of Operations for our multispecialty group practice in Central Valley. Our team of physicians, advanced practitioners and staff are committed to providing the best in class treatment and care.
Job Responsibilties:
· Plans, organizes and manages the operations and activities of one or more health clinics or health programs, ensuring a strategy for future grown in alignment with our vision, mission and strategic plan.
· Responsible for the day to day activities related to access, efficiency, productivity, service experience, scheduling, billing, provider communication and quality.
· Participate in interviewing, hiring, oversight, mentoring, and evaluation of staff.
· Monitors expenditures and service revenues; assists in maintaining budgetary control and meet budgeted productivity targets; develops data collection systems and prepares regular statistical and progress s.
· Manages the flow of the clinic to ensure compliance, efficiency and patient satisfaction.
· Makes regular rounds to units to evaluate status of patient care, operation and environment of the units and staff needs; evaluates progress of assigned areas and plans, implements and evaluates programs to meet current and anticipated needs.
· Manages revenue cycle components related to clinic operations to include charge reconciliation for providers and facility to meet budget targets; presents monthly revenue s to key staff.
· Must be a working manager that is willing and able to jump into to perform any position in the practice as needed.
· Develops schedule, staffs hours, and patient flow for the center while executing corporate policies and procedures.
· Manages staffing costs and additional expense management.
· Conducting day-to-day business of the practice.
· Establish priorities and guidelines for maintaining efficient and expedient workflow for the clinic.
· Responsible for overseeing the clinic’s plan for meeting productivity goals.
· Responsible for developing, implementing and monitoring strategies for encouraging staff to maintain a positive attitude and professional behavior. When necessary, facilitate resolution of problems and issues in a team-centered atmosphere.
· Facilitate site meetings, in-service meetings, attend and participate in management meetings, community partner meetings, and marketing activities as required.
· Monitor and ensure adequate stock of supplies, including all medicines and equipment
· Supervision of all staff and maintaining appropriate working environment for physicians and employees.
· Plan, organize, maintain, and manage the operations and reliability of facilities and general infrastructure systems. Establishes and monitors preventative maintenance processes and programs and facility inspection processes for on-going review of maintenance work by hired contractors.
· Familiar with applicable employment laws
· Setting up and running regular staff meetings
· Works together with Finance and other departments
· Tracks key performance indicators
· Performs annual performance and development review for team members.
· Motivates/leads staff and sets goals/priorities for staff, including deploying incentive compensation programs.
· Ensures OSHA compliance
· Able to lead/participate in benchmarking
· Interfaces with the support center and department leads to ensure center resources are being deployed effectively from finance, operations, marketing, and training.
· Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills
· Medical Practice Management, minimum 5 years’ experience.
· Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or Public Health. Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration or Public Health preferred.
· Knowledge of computers, systems and software, including word processing, spreadsheet, data base, clinic information systems, electronic medical records, billing systems, and other application packages.
· Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative management style.
· Excellent verbal, analytical, organizational, writing and presentation skills.
