Position summary
The Junior Software Developer position is under the general supervision of Dr. Simon Ducharme in the MUHC Psychiatry Department, and the direct supervision of Dr. Anne Almey, the project manager for this study. Briefly, this project will develop a biobank with data from psychiatric patients. The goal is to create a large dataset with detailed clinical and biological data that can be analyzed with machine learning techniques to advance the field of precision psychiatry and improve psychiatric treatments and patient outcomes.
The incumbent would be responsible for developing a database for the Montreal General Hospital Center for Precision Psychiatry in the Longitudinal Online Research and Imaging System (LORIS). This is a modular and extensible web-based data management system designed to store, process, and disseminate all data collected in complex research projects. The goal is to establish a user-friendly LORIS database that allows for rapid data entry, easy development of datasets with subsamples of participants/variables, and secure data sharing.
In this position, the resources currently available through LORIS will be modified to meet the specific requirements of this project. This will include programming specific clinical interviews/scales to facilitate data entry and scoring and configuring the neuroimaging and genetic pipelines to accommodate the data in this study. This position will also require verification of data export from LORIS to NeuroHub to allow for secure and accurate data sharing.
